3/28/2023 0 Comments Ip fast link![]() Virtualization is a very successful technique for sharing and reusing resources, which results in higher efficiency. The weaknesses of the Internet led to the creation of a new network paradigm – network virtualization. The main contribu-tions of this paper are: 1) The problem is formulated as an integer linear programming 2) A heuristic algorithm is developed with proven correctness 3) Detailed failure patterns analysis and performance evaluation 4) A practical implementation scheme of FRRDL in today's IP networks. Our scheme, while further extending the capability of IP rerouting, also provides a foundation for future research in this area. In the recovery process, the scheme incurs very low loss rate and guarantees no packet mis-order. FRRDL achieves 100% coverage for both single and double-link failures and has the advantages of low complexity and resource requirement. For the first time, we study the recovery of double-link failures in the IP layer and propose a fast rerouting for double-link failures (FRRDL). While single failure recovery has been extensively researched, the scenario of double-link failure remains unsolved. IP fast rerouting is considered as a promising approach to reinforce the resilience of current intra-domain routing protocols like OSPF. Since the rerouting calculation and configuration are performed in advance, the recovery features short reaction time, stable performance and low complexity. ![]() When a failure occurs, the scheme let each router forward the affected packets to a pre-determined neighbor such that a set of recovery paths excluding the failed link/node are formed. Failure recovery in the IP layer using fast rerouting has gained much attention recently. ![]()
